Customized Job Training

A well-trained work force is vital to economic growth.  Accordingly, one of Pennsylvania's key administrative initiatives was the expansion and improvement of job training tailored to specific business needs or opportunities.

The Customized Job Training (CJT) Program, enacted into law by the Customized Job Training Act of 1985 (P.L. 492, No. 116), as amended, is a tool to support the educational training of working Pennsylvanians.

CJT funds are available for projects that will result in full-time employment opportunities, significant wage improvements, and the retention of otherwise lost jobs.  The CJT Program is designed primarily to assist companies that are developing and implementing new training initiatives that will promote companies' growth and competitiveness.

The following is a partial list of businesses that have utilized our CJT services:

  • Cleaver Brooks
  • Henry Molded Products
  • Millet, Inc.
  • Peirce Welding
  • PRL Industries
  • Sterling Drugs
