Adult Education

The Lebanon CTC is proud to offer a variety of programs and classes for adults. Students have the opportunity to learn from highly-skilled faculty with direct industry experience and train on state-of-the-art equipment. With programs approved and accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Lebanon CTC is an integral training facility within the Lebanon-Lancaster region.

The training provided by the Lebanon CTC is directly correlated to reflect the employment needs of Lebanon County and beyond- translating into direct employment for adults considering a career change or looking for more employable skills. Backed by Occupational Advisory Committees (OAC) consisting of industry representatives, the programs and classes serve as an example of the school’s commitment to career and technical education.

There are a number of ways adult students can find success through training at the Lebanon CTC. Three delivery methods are offered, making continuing education an obtainable goal for those currently employed as well as those looking for employment. Daytime Full Time Adult Programs
Daytime full day programs are first offered to high school students residing within Lebanon County. When programs do not reach maximum capacity by a certain date, these programs become available for adult students to enroll in. Many of these programs are available for Federal Financial Aid (www.studentloans.gov) for those that qualify, as well as funding from sources like the Workforce Investment Board. These programs run on the same schedule as our secondary schedule- full-time for 182 days (with some minor exceptions).

Evening Full Time Programs
Evening full time programs are available exclusively to adult students. Currently, the CTC operates two evening full time programs- Dental Assistant and Medical Assistant. These programs are available for Federal Financial Aid for those that qualify, as well as funding from sources like the Workforce Investment Board. Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program
The LPN Program runs two classes throughout the calendar year- one full-time class that runs Monday-Friday, full-time, beginning in July. Beginning in September, the part-time program runs Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, running 18 months. Accredited by the Pennsylvania State Board of Vocational Education and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, the LPN program provides jobs that matter and is open to any interested person meeting specific requirements. This program is available for Federal Financial Aid for those that qualify.

Short Term Adult Training
Our most popular delivery system, these classes are available during the evening. With class topics ranging from computer literacy to electrical wiring, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning to automotive mechanics, these classes are for professionals looking to acquire new skills or those looking to learn a new hobby. Primarily taken by adults, short term adult training classes run approximately 6-12 weeks one-two nights per week.
